revivingfamiliesReviving Families
Marital discord, exorbitant dowers, deviant divorce, adolescent rebellion and domestic violence are some of the problems that are confronting families in the West. This has contributed to the dissolution of the Islamic family structure on a large scale. The Islamic Legal Tradition focuses on prevention above cures to societal ailments. There is a dire need now to revive the Muslim family by presenting methods of preventing the breakdown of families in the West.

These seminars will look at the following:

-Social implications of the dissolution of families in the West

-Family in the Islamic legal tradition

-Preventative strategies BEFORE problems become prevalent in the family

-Interactive community discussions – ample opportunity for community dialogue

-Community Development – this event will act as a reference for participants to support existing organizations in the Muslim community
